Richard Guerin, President & CEO, Founder
Prior to founding CareAnyware, Rich was President & CEO of EHC Technologies, Inc. Prior to that Rich led the Bristol-Myers Squibb Home Health Care Sales, Marketing and Business Development organization from the initial concept stage in 1995 through full implementation. Rich was recognized as one of the top 100 executives in home care by the National Association of Medical Equipment providers and participated in the industry’s Project Blueprint 1998. His prior experience includes management positions with both IBM and ROLM. Mr. Guerin received a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard University and Bachelor of Finance and Psychology degrees from Pennsylvania State University.
Mark Decker, Vice President of Product Management
Prior to founding CareAnyware, Mark was the Director of Product Development at EHC Technologies, Inc., where he directed all aspects of development including point-of-care, billing, accounts receivable, agency management, reporting, and test. Previously, Mark served in numerous roles at Nortel over a 12-year career that included Development Manager, Architect and Developer for many enterprise and carrier grade software solutions across product lines. Additionally, Mark was founder and President of Gray Matter Software where he architected an educational software package that has been installed in elementary and middle schools throughout the US. Mark graduated with honors from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Computer Science.
Gene Gallogly, Vice President of Sales
Prior to joining CareAnyware, Gene was the Vice President of Sales at Allscripts (formerly Misys), holding a range of National and Regional sales leadership roles in Physician Sales, the largest division of the Misys organization. Prior to Misys, Gene was Vice President of Sales for Compusystems, a company that developed and sold physician practice management and EMR solutions. At Compusystems, he established a world class Sales team that led sales efforts during a period of rapid growth, at the time it was acquired Compusystems had over 1000 clients in the Southeastern United States. Previously, Gene was a leading sales performer with the Xerox Corporation. Gene currently resides in Charleston, South Carolina, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Biology from the University of South Carolina.
Eric Masters, Vice President of Marketing and Client Relations
Eric is responsible for the marketing strategy and execution at CareAnyware. In addition to general marketing activity, Eric ensures that we listen closely to the needs of our customers and helps guide our technology and development to best assist caregivers and organizations to provide better care and have a larger impact in their local communities. Eric brings over 15 years of marketing, brand management and business development skills including ten years of marketing and management at The Coca-Cola Company where he led many key initiatives including marketing, innovation and planning for DASANI and assisting the CMO run the North American marketing organization. After Coca-Cola, Eric focused his passion for marketing and growth in a newly formed healthcare business unit for MeadWestvaco and consulted with a number a number of local start-ups including healthcare and IT ventures. Eric is a native of Philadelphia, where he attended Drexel University and The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business where he earned his Masters in Business Administration.
Trish Estes, BSN, MPH, Vice President of Operations
Trish is responsible for managing Training, Implementation and Customer Support activities at CareAnyware. She was previously the Director of Operations & Human Resources for the Duke University Health System’s Primary Care Network. Prior to her role at Duke, Trish led the training department here at CareAnyware from 2004-2006. Her vast operational experience helps her work with our clients to deliver superior customer support and training services. In addition to CareAnyware and Duke University Health Systems, she held key management positions at Kaiser Permanante in both Hawaii and Northwest Regions, including Manager of the Regional Planning Department, Administrator of the Dental Program and Associate Clinics Administrator. In her role as Associate Clinics Administrator, Trish managed all home care and case management services in addition to clinic operations for the 100-physician medical group. She also served as Regional Manager of Para-Med Health Services, a home health organization in Montreal and Quebec. Trish was a consultant at Health Data Institute in Boston, Massachusetts, a company that focused on claims-based cost management analysis for large health care employers. After receiving her Master of Public Health degree from UNC-Chapel Hill, Trish also served a stint as a Research Assistant in the Department of Geriatrics at the Harvard School of Public Health. She has also received valuable “hands-on” clinical experience with the Boston VNA, Beth Israel, and Mass General hospitals in Boston, Massachusetts.
Imran Qureshi, Vice President Engineering
Imran has over 15 years of software engineering experience, 10 of which have been focused on web-based technologies. Prior to joining CareAnyware, Imran held a series of leadership roles with a number of companies in the Silicon Valley, most recently as Vice President of Engineering at Spleak Media Network in San Francisco, California. While at Hotmail, Imran was responsible for leading the Hotmail v2 project that now handles 200 million users per month and also helped to architect a large data warehousing system. Imran worked for Microsoft in Cupertino, CA from 1993-2000 as a member of the Microsoft Office development team, where he was in charge of developing the slide show and animation features in Microsoft PowerPoint and a drawing component used in Internet Explorer and Windows 2000. Imran has been awarded ten US patents with another eight patents pending. He received a Bachelors of Computer Science degree from Stanford University, Palo Alto California.
Jim Lewis, Director of Customer Care
Jim has over 15 years of software engineering experience in a variety of industries including telecommunications, finance, insurance and healthcare. His career as a consultant in the Atlanta, GA, Raleigh, NC, and Madrid, Spain metropolitan areas include projects with Sprint, MCI Worldcom, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, Ernst & Young, Invesco, and Coritel a division of Arthur Anderson. His specialty has been the development of distributed, multi-tier solutions based on client/server and web technologies. Jim also served as a Trainer and Courseware Developer in database systems for the Continuing Education Department of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta for over 7 years. While employed at EHC Technologies, Inc., Jim architected the technology solutions for key features of the ehomecare.com product including clinical and billing documentation management and electronic signature. Jim graduated Magna Cum Laude from James Madison University with Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Physics.
Chris Jones, Controller
Chris Jones has more than 15 years of finance, accounting and human resources management experience ranging in industries from healthcare to process plant technology to waterworks manufacturing. At CareAnyware, Chris manages the finance and human resources departments while also assisting in the design and support of the CareAnyware home care and hospice agency management financial reporting system. Chris’ accounting career began at Quickfit Visual Flow (QVF), where he was a key member of a management team that eliminated an operating loss in the QVF US Division through the implementation of cost-cutting measures and operations consolidation. Additionally, Chris managed the implementation of the Macola ERP system which increased profitability through inventory reduction. Chris also played a key financial role in the company’s acquisition and integration of Schott Engineering and the ultimate sale of QVF to DeDietrich Process Systems in 2000 where Chris was promoted to Controller upon closing of the transaction. Chris’ talent at managing software implementations and change management was also utilized at Federal Direct, a multi-million dollar Business Forms and Direct Mail Company where his main focus was the implementation of a new accounting software system that netted a 20 hour per month productivity gain for the accounting department. Prior to joining CareAnyware, Chris was Materials Manager at Kennedy Valve, a manufacturer of fire hydrants and waterworks valves with annual revenue of $125 million. In his role at Kennedy, Chris implemented work flow improvements that reduced inventory and increased on-time delivery from 62% to 88% resulting in a significant improvement in customer satisfaction.
